Wested Super Combo

As someone who has put together a "budget" gear kit, I am interested in upgrading my gear, as well as adding some gear that I don't have.

I am looking at the Wested 'SUPER COMBO' package. It comes with:
Stock Jacket
Shirt
Pants
Web Belt
Whip
Bag w/ Leather Strap
and the possibility of optional Hat (not interested; have my Akubra Fed IV) and Whip Strap (add £7.50)

The price is £363.00 (or $450)

I know this gear is not the "best" or most screen accurate, but they would be an upgrade from my current gear and add things I don't have.

What do you guys think about this package at the price?

There are far better informed than me regarding screen accuracy but I do have an eye for good value and the package is certainly that. I think it is hard to beat Wested for quality at the price as well so you won't go far wrong. If I were you I would search the forums for opinions on the individual items to inform your choices, particularly when it comes to the jacket!

It always seemed like a good deal to me, especially if you're not a stitch-counter.

My biggest concern would be the whip. Everything else (save the hat) is probably excellent, but I have my doubts as to how good a whip that is. I'd check the whip section of COW to see if there are any reviews. That said, if you only want the whip as part of a costume, then no problem!

If you add the cost of the items separately, it's an amazing bargain, you're getting half of the items for free. If I were starting out it would be a no brainer. British made jacket, shirt and trousers. Original Mk vii, real web belt, real leather bag strap, and a costume whip. :whip: :whip: :whip:

That's a really good point, KT. I guess I'd say go for it!
