Picked this jacket up today it is dry, stiff and under one arm stitching came out. I'm thinking from the 30s or 40s? Should I get it restitched and soften or resale it as is? and what would something like this bring?

Drop David Hack a line at collector@uswings and come and run that past him, as they picked up the Cooper line when they started the company.

Tell him you're a member here and want to know how you should proceed with this old Cooper jacket.

Regards! Michaelson

Sarge over at USWings said That Jacket was made by Neil Coopers Father and that dates it in the early 40s. Thanks again Sarge.

It's called a long half-belt jacket and they were common, versions made by Cooper and Sears, Monarch and others form the 1940's and 1950's. I imagine it's worth around $30-$50 but depends who is interested. A well preserved one will bring several hundred.
