Really Bad Whip

I'm not sure if I can safely post this, but while browsing through some catalogs I came across the worst whip I've ever seen associated with the Indy name. What makes it even worse is that this company also carries some really interesting items of use to adventurers then and now.
Anyway, have a look:

That whip is hilarious. I think I had one of those when I was a kid, that my dad bought me when we went to the circus. Looks like a toy.
I especially love the pic of Indys hat. They capture the look of the brim perfectly. I might have to see if I can replicate that look with my Akubra

That looks just like some of the crappo whips on eBay. You're exactly right, they have some neat stuff. The Leather Adventure Bag caught my eye...sigh, if only I had $249! Thanks for the link.
Peace,

I think their subject statement should read 'products with a since of 'humor'!"
Seriously, though, I agree, that adventure bag is a dead ringer for the Raiders briefcase. Nice looking piece of work. How did it get mixed up with the rest of that stuff?

Hey and for just $349, you can get a Raiders film cell with a ToD photo. I hate when they mix images like that. Most common one I see is when they talk about Raiders but show the still of Indy on the rope bridge.

That bothers me. Those 35mm cells were on sale on eBay a few years back for 5 bucks a cell with viewer (I know, I bought one), and they never went up. So, with that market price, they have 35 bucks involved with the cells, a color photo (last lobby card I bought cost me 10 dollars, full color, 11 x 14, and was from TofD, so I'll be nice and use that as my bench mark), so we now have $45 involved.....The frame (custom) probably cost them about $30 (the last custom frame I had made was for my artwork done by the_Edge, HUGE frame, and cost me $60) so using these inflated prices, we have $105 invested with a LOT of buffer included. I think they're a bit over the line....don't you?

Actually, if someone could put together a more authentic Indiana Jones shadow box, I'd be very interested. I was thinking of making one and putting my pocket bull in it, but then I wouldn't be able to USE my pocket bull. So I scrapped that idea.

Speaking of which, has anybody seen Cabinentman for a while? He'd be the man for that job, but I don't think I've seen him post for a while.

I've traded some emails and PMs with Cab recently so he's still around these parts... maybe just not vocally.

Those cheap whips are always cropping up in stores around Halloween. They're not worth a flip, either. I received one for free with my Indiana Jones Khyber Bowie knife that I ordered from The Edge back in 1994. It lasted nearly a day before being reduced to shreds. Then I tossed its pitiful remains on the roof of my house and let it erode in the sun and rain for a few months.
