We all know that 'officially' the whip is either 8 or 10 foot depending on what scene you are looking at (with variations occasionally).

Now that I have those whips I noticed for the first time exactly how long the whip is that Indy swings over the lava to get the stones in TOD.

Hard to tell but the whip takes up the whole picture:


Once he gets it down he still obviously has a whip longer than 10 feet. After coiling it once you can tell there are still at least 3 more loops he can make:


Anyone know exactly how long it really is?

Not sure this directly answers your question, but the IG site mentions that DM supplied bullwhips from six to sixteen feet long.

I'd put my money on 16 feet in this scene and any other whip swinging scenes.

That would make sense.

Messing around with my 10 footer it kinda seems that a loose coil like the one in the pic roughly translates to about 3 feet (since I get two full loops with my 8 and 3 with my 10) and I would guess-timate that based on the movie scene he had about five loops or coils to do total so that would make it 16.
