Got it today and it is more of a khaki color than green. If you look at it in the right light, it is OD green, but mostly any other time khaki which is not bad. The website is the khaki bag i believe just the picture is exposed to make the color look OD green. The canvas is medium heavy but heavier than i thought. Everyone is right the strap is not too good, the buckle is square and could be plated silver too look more authentic. The strap color is too light and new looking. I used some Tana leather cleaner conditioner and applied it to the back and side of the strap and rubbed it in with a terry cloth towel and it darkened up quite a bit and smoothed the leather a bit to look more authentic (or better at least). Overall I'm pleased with the bag. Only issue I have is a line of thread came unraveled from the bag as soon as I got it out of the box. Its no big deal. The thread was broke and unpeeled a bit. I am going to sew it up and it should be fine. Nothing to knock the bag over. I will probably try and dye it with ritz and buy a new strap.

Cheers,
Indiana Jackson

Indiana Jackson,

I'm coloring my strap now with shoe polish...I mean right now! I had to sand it to get the polish to stick.

If you roll the strap back on itself with the colored side in it really softens it up and takes away the smoothness of the finish.

As for the color of the bag...I'm holding for now. I kind of like it.

Hey!

I used some Zymöl leather conditioner on the back and sides and WOW! It must be the lanolin something, but this thing looks nice and dark and it's softer too.

Thanks for the leather conditioner idea.
