USW Striated Lambskin “Legend” Jacket (USA Made) RIP

So - got this jacket awhile back from their clearance section. I ordered the tall version but it was too long. Pretty heavy jacket which is fine. Decided to give it a rinse in the washing machine on a short gentle cycle in cold. Wore it about the house as it dried. It shrunk enough to fit properly (for me).
The downside - the buckles made extensive gouges in the leather which made the jacket look like @#$%. I mean the buckles actually took out the top coat of the leather in multiple places. If this was a lighter jacket, it would not be so bad but this jacket is dark.
This one will go into the quarterly clothing drive. Just a note of caution for others.

Those Legend buckles are bad. Members have damaged the upholstery in their cars with them. Feedback/complaints have been sent to USW.
When I got my Legend, based on advise of other members, I switched out the buckles to avoid the potential for damage.

Yep, quite a few warnings and discussions have been posted about those 'Pilgrim' buckles. Sorry you missed them.
I punched a hole into the side of my car seat with a set on mine a couple years ago. Now I put replacement rings as used on the G&B Expedition and have no further problems.

Are Todd's buckles similar to the USW buckles?

There are no other buckles out there like the ones being used on the USW Legends. It's almost like they are sharpened on purpose.

Guess you could take a file and round them off.

I actually got hurt by them because when I drive, the corners dig into the back of my rib cage. Never had that happen before. I just picked up some D rings to swap them out.

Where do you guys get the D-Rings at?

Craft or fabric stores would have them.
Since you are overseas there are online options, but the shipping could cost more than the rings themselves.

I found mine in Walmart, of all places.
