Looking in a thrift store and found a nicely weathered AB jacket. No holes or tears or stains on the lining.Close to the Indy style, but a full band sewn across the back, no buckles and a gathered waist like an A-2 jacket. Heavier than my Indy. I don't recall what the ends of the sleeves looked like. They were asking $20. For those resident experts here, is that a good deal?

Well, a quick and dirty search on ebay lists a number of Adventure Bound jackets in the $20-30 range so in that regard the price is decent.

There were a number of models and none of them were particularly close. The biggest thing they have going for them is no knits on the sleeves or hem.

If your looking for a secondary Indy jacket it could be serviceable, but I think it wouldn't be nearly as nice as the one you already have.

Take the $20 and put it toward some other piece.

Indiana Jeff

I see a lot of those in clothing thrift shops here in California. If the one you bought was in good condition, then you likely scored. I'd buy one, but most of the one's I've seen are in poor condition.
