Not to my knowledge.

I did a quick and dirty search and couldn't find any reference to Todd making jackets in goat.

I, for one, sure wish he would.

Some of his very first were calfskin.

If you can locate one of them, you'll have a nice jacket.

Here are some picture's of the Jacket. I have worn this jacket every day since I got it, worked in it around the house and yard, and yes I have slept in it a few times.

If Todd would ever happen to produce an Indy jacket in something other than lambskin, I'd probably go for one. But, in the meantime, I just can't constitute spending that much money for a skin that is so fragile.

They're not all alike, Capt. D. =;

My eldest daughter has a 1997 Wested lambskin, and I have a 2001 G&B lambskin prototype, both of which have been to Hades and back constantly, and they're still solid, functional jackets with no rips or tears.

Her fiancé has one of the first USW 30th anniversary lambskins produced that he wears everywhere, and all it gets is better and better looking with use. He wads it up and throws it in the back of his car, then drags it out for work. It just keeps come back for more.

The Wested has been on multiple digs when she worked on the Townsend archaeological site years ago a field technician.

The 2001 prototype Expedition.....well, it's an Expedition. What else can I say.

Then, I've seen some jackets that have been shown here that have brushed across a bit of wire or back of a chair and ripped like melted butter.

Ironically, years ago I had a USW cowhide do that on a splinter on a wood chair once. Lambskin isn't the only 'delicate' hide out there. #-o

It's the luck of the draw on lambskin, that's a fact, but sometimes that 'draw' is well worth playing the game when you get the 'right' one, so don't turn your back on the 'lowly' lambskin, no matter who makes it. ;)

I've got to agree with Michaelson here. I own one of US Wings 30th edition, striated lambskin jackets and its the thickest Indy jacket that I own. Of Course I stuck mine in the washing machine the week I got it so it puffed out a bit and gave it a more Dino-hide that the original look but none the less it's still a hefty thick jacket.

So, there's definitely different weights and thicknesses to lambskin, or any jacket for that matter. I wouldn't rule one out if I were you.

So glad to hear that y'all had better experiences than I with the lambskin. Of my 3/3 lambskin jackets, 3/3 were at one time or another ripped over trivial encounters. With not knowing 'how durable' a lambskin jacket is until you actually get it and test it out, I've simply opted not to gamble anymore by playing it safe with a better track record leather, especially when spending $200 + dollars. Anyhow, happy to hear some positive reviews out there overall! :)

You can say that again... 8) This is one of the first batch of custom calfskin jackets that Todd made around 2007. IIRC, the jacket was actually made in-house. Out of many Indy jackets I've had over the years, the Todd's custom is one of the best. ;) The calfskin is very tough, yet so supple now, it's like fine glove leather. No artificial distressing here.. just years of wear. Here's some pics: (Click to enlarge)

That was one I gave to a fellow member who eventually disappeared from radar several years ago. :-s

2007! Wow. I didn't realize it had been that long ago!

I must be the one who went missing... :TOH: The first one made had a couple of minor nit-picks, and Todd made a 2nd for me (pics I posted above), which I've been very pleased with. I gifted the original to you, and had Todd send it your way after I returned it. ;)

Yes, I have been off the radar for quite a few years.. All I can say is: What a long, strange trip it's been.. :-

EDIT: I hope the member you passed it on to appreciated it.. IMHO, the Todd's custom is a #### fine jacket. It would be nice to see them come back and post pics of how it looks now.

The only reason it went to another young feller was when my weight went 'south' and it no longer fit. He disappeared a few months later, so I have no clue if he actually appreciated it or not. I sure HOPE he did. :|

Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your slant), I've since LOST all that weight, and am now regretting it leaving my stable. ](*,)

Good to see you back, by the way! :TOH:
