This is a time lapse video I shot with my phone about 5 or 6 years ago just after filming the "How It's Made" segment for Discovery channel. I shot it because I was pretty sure that there wasn't going to be enough time in the segment to show everything, but I only recently got around to finishing editing it.

I hope you all find it fun and informative!

I remember that "How It's Made" episode.
Great video.
It's hard to tell, but do you take any breaks mid-braiding or once you begin you have to get all the way to the end of that layer?
Regards,
Indiana Jeff

Re: Video - How an Indiana Jones Bullwhip is made from Kanga
Hi Indiana Jeff,
Thanks!
Sometimes I take breaks during a layer, but sometimes I don't. It just depends. For the first few years I was making whips I didn't take breaks during a layer, but once I was able to braid more consistently I was able to take breaks and come back to it without it effecting the whip.
