I did a search for
"Saddle" and "soap" and found this.

First, I brush off any obvious hunks of dirt using a toothbrush(you may want to buy a soft toothbrush just for this job instead of the one you brush your teeth with
). Then I take a little bar of glycerin saddle soap and rub it on a damp cloth until a little lather builds up on it. Then I rub it down the length of the whip starting at the upper thong and moving towards the fall. You may have to go over the last couple of feet of the whip a second time being that this part of the whip usually gets dirtier than the rest. Then I take a dry cloth and soak up any excess wetness, let the whip air dry overnight and put a little dressing on it the next day.

That's my boy, Zohar! Teach them how to fish. Sorry JJ, but Zohar is giving you a good pointer on how to use the forum. It's burning out some of the old timers...

Hey Sergi, how does that work on boots?
Yeah, yeah, I know. Go sit in the corner.

If I use foul words in front of the kid, can my wife use the same tooth brush to wash my mouth out with saddle-soap?
