I just can't justify $500 plus dollars on something I will get pretty much zero use out of unless wearing all my Indy gear.

Then again, I don't want a piece of costume junk either.

I think when I do decide since I am not all that far from Crease and Coral (Vidor, Texas) I will go with his LC version.

Anyone talk to them lately? What is the wait time? I know Penman, John (Bending Oak) is a big fan of his work.

My whip is a Calceado (sp?) made by Gus Calceado, a member here. Sorry I cant remember his SN but I got it in the bazaar for around $200 and it is GREAT. I absolutely love it. Cracks and looks great.

I went straight for a David Morgan, back when his prices were still reasonable and he was personally involved with making each whip. Prior to that, I'd used a variety of cheap 8-plait cowhide bullwhips, then a nice American-made 10-plait latigo. Once I made the jump to the real Indy whip, I never looked back.

I am happy with it. You just can't take for granted custom craftmanship these days; a great skill to have.

The gun belt could be a little smaller.

He does really great work-great leather smell.

Congrats on your new stuff, Car. It looks amazing.

David's job is near to perfection, I love the look of the bag strap and holster. I have the same stuff and the whip holder works perfectly.
