The tapered temple hat.

Post by Holt »

The most hated hat of all time. The tapered temple hat. I know, not a super fan myself but there is something about it. I know this hat will only work with temple gear. Tried it with raiders and I looked so silly!

To me this was the most difficult hat to get right. Especially the one I wanted. The most famous one. The tapered temple hat. It's not suppose to be a full on replica of one particular hat from the movie but something that could pass as one from the same family. Something from the village scene.

This is my first time doing a temple hat and like I said, it was difficult and the reason for that was the taper vs the bash. Too much taper and it threw it off, too little wasn't good either.. well, anyways, here it is. Be brutal :)

Thanks! :TOH:

I know I will never do one again! It was so frustrating. Kept on forever with this thing.

I like it. Here is my go at the bridge hat. Penman hat with serious shrinkage and a home reblock.

Bridge hat is one of my favorite, but yours reminds me of the hat from when the plane is about to go down, Holt.

I'm doing temple gear in alittle while and I wanted a hat seen with the jacket. The bridge hat etc was only seen with shirt if my mind serves me correctly.

Yeah, That is correct. been a while since I saw temple..

regardless, when I think temple Indy I think of the tapered hat with the tight jacket Indy. The plane Indy.

Not a fan of that hat at all, although you've done well in copying it.....It looks naff, but that's the hat's fault, not yours....As copies go? It's spot on.......

The scene where Indy arrives and is looking at the village stone location outside might be the "bridge hat" too no? I feel it was less tapered there? Although once he's inside the hut it's back to the sloped one.....

I like the bridge hat, the plane hat looks off....But this IS an "accurate" copy.....Nice work on that!
