Wested Action Pleats

I know one gripe about the Wested was that the action pleats stayed open too much. Did anyone figure out how to fix it or request a modification on their Wested order to fix it? Thanks.

I asked Peter (the guy at Wested), to use elastic bands between the pleats (like in other pilot's jackets). He did so, and - no problems with the pleats staying open.

Does this cost extra to have them do this for you? (I'd imagine that they would).....But then again...I could be wrong, but I kinda recall someone mentioning that the action pleats didn't always stay closed on the original Raider's jacket.....so, if they stay closed...great...but to "NOT" have them closed all the time would also be authentic....but, can anyone validate this for us?

I only know Peter didn't charge me for elastic in the action pleats.
He did charge for gussets....which I know some received no charge, so who know, luck of the draw !?
The way mine works, the gussets still open nicely when body movement dictates they should, but they remain closed otherwise.
cheers,

Peter didn't charge me. Neither for the elastics nor the gussets or my "special" wishes (additionla inside pocket, ...). So maybe I was just lucky or he had a good day ...

Hi INDY GENS
I read that and you owe me $20, just kidding.
It is a fact that we have recently started charging for extras as the requests were getting more and more complicated and I want to keep the jacket price at an affordable level.
So the basic jacket price is fixed for the moment and extras charged for.
Cheers

See what our meticulousness gets us!
Just kidding Peter, I think it's great that you still try to maintain affordable pricing while accomodating us with extra needs. I'm sure that trend is becoming more the norm for you.
