A few Questions on jackets

Post by Heyjude7 »

Good evening CoW! I have been away for a while and have been drawn back into the Indy world since I recently purchased the blurays.
I see a lot of nice jackets out there for old and new makers

I have a few questions about them:

Is the story still the same with Tony Nowak and where he sourced his raiders jacket ?

The Bill Kelso jacket is beautiful and looks like a spot on replica on Tony's.. Where was his jacket created from?

Love the Steele and Jones jacket ( and fedora)

When I return from Africa to Sicily, I will post pics of my Tony Nowak # 501 from 2009. It is great jacket and gets better with age.

I would be as interested in the pics of Africa and Sicily. ;)

That must have been quite the adventure?

As far as I remember, Tony got in hand for inspection one of the Raiders HERO jackets (the one see on Hawaii shots, and Imam's house)
Supposedly, someone from the CS staff (IIRC, Frank Marshall) lent the jacket for a few days to Tony so he could make accurate replicas for the fans.
Kelso jacket is based on TN Raiders patterns.
S&J jacket is based on TN Raiders patterns.

I'd love to see those pictures!!

Thanks for the replies Gents.
I currently am without my fedora and jacket. i wish i had them out here
out here i wear a booney cover instead of a fed and desert cami's instead of my jacket!
i will post pics of the jacket when i get back though to show the very good aging!

As for the sand out here, i would say i am in an unlimited amount of fuller's earth! the sand is so fine its like baby powder. if you want fullers earth to distress your gear... this is the real deal stuff here!

i cant imagine wearing a leather jacket out here though... the temps are in the 100's!

Wil most def post pics of me in my TN ontop of Mt Etna when i get back to Sicily at the end of April! i will be there for 3 more years. i always think it would be a good spot for an Indy film... opening Paramount sequence being Mt Etna.. alot of ancient ruins in Sicily!
