This is the gun that is being sold on Ebay by artsee1com . You can get this model that has been panted and trimmed or the unpainted and not trimmed. I am happy with it.

I've never been a fan of the Stembridge gun myself, but artsee1 does make a very nice reproduction.

Jeff, I feel the same way about the Webley because I don't consider it the original Indy revolver. Not to mention the odd caliber for a U.S.-based hero and seemingly unwieldy length.
The Smith & Wesson 1917 makes sense to me. It's custom shortened barrel makes it uniquely Indy's. A classic, ubiquitous American military "hand cannon" without unnecessary length and weight to maximize travel portability.
I've often thought that the
Raiders pistol was originally supposed to be a S&W Victory Model (also a common US military pistol for that era) due to its nearly identical looks and
factory 4-inch barrel, but that the 1917s were substituted due to the wider availability of .45 caliber blanks. Just like the Hi-Power was originally supposed to be a 1911.
What turns you off about the Stembridge?

Mainly because it is the 'non-shooting' gun from the movie.
Aesthetically don't care for the silver tip and blade sight.

Yet another reason I suspect it was supposed to represent the Victory Model, at least for close-ups.
