eBaying for an MK-VII or lookalike... help

Hi all,
I was looking on eBay for an MK-VII and found this:
Indiana Jones MK VII (Mark 7) Bag
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 3374912832
Is that a good price? I was going for the used look, and saw these below. However, from the way they look, I don't know if they can easily be slung over the shoulder upright. Anyone have any suggestions?
2-M17A1 GAS MASK BAGS-Never Issued, not faded

Gas Mask Bag, M40/M42

VIETNAM ERA OD CANVAS CHEMICAL GAS MASK BAG

Thanks!
Mitch

Yeah, you can go to the What Price GLory website, and save a few bucks purchasing one direct.

Indiana Mitch,
Not to rain on your parade, but you should read the rules about posting live Ebay auctions. You're not supposed to post any auctions uless they are your own. By not posting the auctions it helps keep the final bid price lower for those here on the forum attempting to obtain the gear we find on Ebay.

Keep looking, just be patient and one will show up....but be prepared to pay for it. The last MK VII I saw on ebay 2 weeks ago, went for $180. It wasnt even listed as an "indiana Jones" bag either!!
Good luck,
IJ

Luckily living in Holland takes away that danger. I got a Mk VII for 27 euros and a Mk VI for 17 euros. Oh, the joys of not being American...

I think sywalker, and MIkey are no where near out of place. I decided to keep my mouth shut about it, but they are totally right. And if its the case of a MK VII auction on ebay its usally more than a few bucks, the last time it became a matter of about $120 as a result of someone posting the auction....

Here we go again.
Sometimes I feel like we're a bunch of old men in a barber shop. Like in "Coming to America"

Didn't we just go through this, not that long ago? I remember a seriously heated "discussion" on this very topic, right IndianaJames?
We've gotten past it, so should the others.
Current auctions cannot be posted in the forum unless it is posted by the SELLER of the auction.
I agree that people come here for advice, and should feel welcome to. If someone wants to ask questions about a particular auction, they should feel free to do so. Just remember to leave the auction link out of it.
Example:
In Mitch's post, he was asking for advice concerning a couple of bags on EBay. He could've asked "What is a good price for a MK VII on EBay". And "I'm watching one now, and here are the specs".
This way, he gets proper advice without spoiling the bidding.
I'd really hate to see another outbreak here because of this stuff.
Just trying to help out all sides, so please don't take offense.

Hi all,
Listen, I didn't mean to cause a heated debate over this. I didn't know I wasn't supposed to post other's eBay auctions, and a simple note would have sufficed.
One of the auctions was buy it now only, and from What Price Glory. The other three were non-MKVII bags, which I doubt many Indy fans would want anyways.

I think new forum members are eager to post away once they have become members not reading the "read this" too carefully. I know, I once posted a link on an action too. Maybe this is already made clear in the "Welcome to COW" e-mail you get, but I can't seem to remember it was there. If it is not there, why not include the rules in the mail you get or perhaps attach a direct link to them?
I know that it sounds like common sence to read guidelines when you visit a new forum, but to some it is their first community they visit or become members to and you do tend to get overwhelmed with the tons of info there is on our hero here at COW. I think that is why you tend to go "I wanna contribute right away, pedal to the metal".
Just a few thoughts...
Regards,
Swindy
