Quick question about washing Todd's pants

I was advised "dry clean only," but honestly my pants could use a bit of shrinkage. Any danger to washing them cold in a washer and tumble drying on low heat?

They'll definitely shrink if you do that.

Problem is, the shrinking can be unpredictable. They may stay too loose where you want them to shrink and shrink where they already fit well.

Better option is to have them tailored if you need a fit correction.

179.6% agree! If you want the weirdest fitting trousers ever, go for it, but otherwise... wool+wash=bad.

WORD OF CAUTION..I dont know about your tag on your pants..but on my TODDS pants it said I could wash on cold and dry on lowest heat..I did that "after I had them hemmed up"..and they shrunk like 3"..Never wanted to wear them again..AND by the time I had them hemmed up and also dry cleaned "cause that is how they did it" I had like 95$ in the pants..Ended up giving them away.
