New from Wested -- Pre-distressed Lamb Hide!

Post by WConly »

I received an email from Wested this week. They are now offering a pre-distressed lamb hide for their jacket selections and yes, you can get 'Indy-styles' in this hide, but it is by special request at this time as supplies are limited. Here is Rebecca's reply on this question regarding 'Indy' jackets:

Hello William,

The pre-distressed lambskin is available to order straight away, for now the skin is by request only but hopefully we can bring it onto the website soon!

All the Best

Rebecca

From the small photo on my email of the hide -- it looks great ;) ! Just thought I would give all here a head's up on this one :TOH: ! W>

From the Wested thread:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=51983&start=1350

It's been around for a little while now. KT's post with pics is about halfway down from October 25, 2013.

Interesting....from the email I received -- Wested is promoting this as something of a new nature for 'us fans' asking for this leather. The email also promotes some of their other items, for ladies, etc. W>

Just a note, the leather in that thread is shrunk lamb, same type as the one Gorak recently reviewed.

I can see from the pics, least I think so, that it's the same stuff. Shrunk lamb, I guess. It is veg tanned and can look a bit russet in some light.

I think its cool to offer a plethora of skins and hides as novelty Indy type jackets, but what about a solid, veg tanned lamb/sheep skin with some grain that looks almost black to the outside light? :-k

jus' sayin'

Good point, however my purpose here -- was to simply share what Wested is offering now. W>
