Very nice!

That is an unusual looking front sight - never seen one that long before. Nonetheless, an excellent find.

Be sure to post some pics up after the conversion.

Interesting front sight. Check out Numrich Firearms for that replacement swivel, swivel pin, and any other parts.

Sorry bookman, I misstook you for for ChrisMD for some reason. The barrels on these S&W N frames are changeable, if you find out that the front sight is dovetailed too deep into the barrel (meaning that sight that's on there might be machined well beyond the front of the barrel) you can get another barrel. However, the new barrel may not match the petina of the frame, FYI. Hope this helps, if I can be of help please let me know.
