Old time Indy bash

I found this photo in the Ace Frehley autoboigraphy of his dad...and the hat just jumped out...look at that pinch!

Yeah, that tight front pinch wasnt first "created" by a designer for a film in the early 1980's. That style was around all through the 20s and 30s and can be seen in photos and films of the era if you just watch for them.

I like it! I worked for the Free Mason's back in the day as a security guard (im not a mason) and they had pictures up on the walls of building dedications and cornerstone ceremonies for new building projects. Most were from the mid-30s and ALL I looked at were the hats.

Yeah, Basil Rathbone in "Sherlock Holmes and the Voice of Terror" wears a fedora with a very tight pinch and is very indy-esque. and that was filmed in 1942

Check out the original D-ick Tracy serials from 1937-38. That's all HE wears in the films.

Italiano Jones, that picture is just awesome. I'm truly loving the hat on the gentleman to the right. The crown is just beautiful. Thanks for posting the pic!
