Custom Indy Shirt

Post by teds3 »

Hello All.
I am in search of a custom made Indiana Jones Shirt. I have been blessed/cursed with extremely broad shoulders and when looking for a button up shirt if I go for something to fit my body the sleeves are too short; but if I go for a shirt that fits my arms and shoulders then I swim in the body and it will drape almost to my knees.
Any info and/or opinions will be greatly appreciated.

Yeah that autocorrect can be a pain. Still smarting that I didn't see it make the change though. I've already heard back and now need to see about coming up with the finances for it. Currently I have a Steve Delk Ford Felt hat and a Nowak CS jacket so I need to get a great shirt for the set

I have this problem with jackets. Massive shoulders, short frame, and beer belly do not mix!!!

As a fellow mutant, I sympathize. I have never regretted a purchase from Magnoli, so you'll be in good hands.

What happens to me is my gut sometimes comes out the bottom of my jacket. I need a long jacket but not in the sleeves.

For what it's worth, it can work against some of us the other way too! My problem is with shirts. I have a decent build for a guy of advancing years, but with my shirts and the way that 'most' manufacturers do sizing, it is an issue. I wear a medium shirt, but, unless it is a 'fitted' shirt,' it looks like I bought it from your local "Tent and Awnings" store  ! Seems that everybody now produces wider/broader shirts, because most people are that way. Geez! If I was living in the 1930's/40's, I might be able to get clothes off-the-rack, that fit right, instead of having to really search for said, or alter, afterwards. W>

Same issue with the jackets. I need them longer and with shirter sleeves. I recommend US Wings for longer jackets, Chris. You won't even need to order a Tall. Just have the sleeves shortened. Or wait for me to shrink out of one of mine. :rolling:

That's a joke... but it's not... ](*,)

Im in a XXXL wings legend and its still short. Its all in my sleeves. Its all in my shoulders. But since i moved im back losing weight again. Walking 3.5 miles a day and trying to eat well. Im sure itll all help with the jacket fits haha

Well, my memory might be off, but I think some of their jackets have been offered as talls. The signature series, maybe. Which is ironic because they were always plenty long enough. Those are the ones I have owned - Signature series. The Hero and Lengend lines are shorter and trimmer, from what I have read here. The Signatures are cut looser and longer. When I was at my biggest I wore a XXL and had plenty of jacket in all directions. Although each model varied slightly in fit, they all worked out. That variation has allowed me to hold onto two of them longer than my others.
