Hey all! i'm getting ready to move to PR and as most know it's a tropical island. What, if any jacket leather will work well in that kind of weather? I can say I love the USW Legend cut but don't know if any of the offered hides will do the trick.

Naugahyde.

Seriously though, keep any leather garments you value indoors and climate controlled if you want them to last. Humidity and salt air will be your jacket's worst enemies.

PR's average temps and humidity, etc.: http://weatherspark.com/averages/33728/ ... uerto-Rico

For cool evenings/nights and higher elevations... One of the light-weight offerings, depending on your budget:
Todd's
Wested
Steele and Jones
Kelso

(In order of price)

Great advice. Thanks. Wested will likely win out.

The Kelso originals are actually heavy for a lamb. Apparently the new ones are lighter. I would definitely recommend their lightweight cowhide - durable and light.

If you can still find them, the 30th anniversery Legend USW is a great choice too. VERY soft and light weight lambskin.

That lambskin Michelson mentioned is probly your best bet considering you do like the USWings Legends. They are not exaggerating when they use the term "feather weight"! Seriously. ?...no, seriously!

They also naturally distress with just regular daily use.

The USW legend in lamb sounds like a great choice as well. That might do very well.
