I know it isnt a true Indy Fedora but I am REALLY enjoying this hat. It is an Akubra Bushman with a Col. Littleton hat band. I feel very Indy in it and ready to take on adventures....am I straying too far?

I had a Indy ribbon on it but the color seemed to clash so after about twenty or so styles and types of hat bands, I felt this one really blended well color wise and was quite unique as I have not seen this type of band before...especially with the Col. Littleton pin attatched.

I had a bushman but my son has it now. They're great hats!

The Bushman is one of the first hats I tried to make into something like the raiders fedora.
It's a nice looking hat. There's something very Charleton Heston about your version. Looks great.

I've always loved the look of the Bushman, that's a grand hat you have. It should serve you well.

Absolutely! Everything you own does not have to be Indy, variety is the spice of life. I have Bailey in a similar style with an nearly identical pheasant feather hat band. Enjoy it!

You're not alone. I've always gravitated toward wider brimmed hats.
This is the one that started it all for me. My grandfather's gardening hat. A well worn Stetson Open Road.
My camping hat from 1971 - 1978 and occasionally after that.
My Akubra Bushman-primary hat from 1981 - 1985
Abercombie & Fitch Safari hat - primary hat from 1985 - 1989 (yes it's real Zebra - no you can't have it.)
Akubra Cattleman - primary hat from 1989 - 2004
I still wear the latter three from time to time. I've even worn the original once or twice in the last few years.
