Is anyone here familiar with AcapulcoJoes' whips on etsy?

http://www.etsy.com/shop/AcapulcoJoes" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I see a couple in there that look close to the David Morgan that hangs off Indy's belt, (like this one
http://www.etsy.com/listing/152478444/b ... _active_20" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) but has anyone here gotten one personally from this source?
How do they hold up?
Where do these whips fall in the quality-for-the-money range?
Thanks for the input!

Looks VERY reminiscent of the old Jerzee joes bullwhips of eBay fame. If it's remotely related, steer clear! Do a search for him on the boards and you'll find that the whips were not great to say the least.
Could be a different guy, but it looks so much like it I can't help but draw that conclusion...

My mistake, it was jrzjoe and here is one such thread

Again, hate to jump to conclusions but it's uncanny really...

I agree...if you ate looking at a cheap costume piece...this is it. Best can be done. Jrzjor has three different ebay seller accounts just because people know to stay clear of the seller jrzjoe

What I meant by best....is it is best for this it seems for thisnpiece to be a costume piece. There are better costume pieces. It may be a good beginnet whip...but it does look like somenof jrzjoe's whips.

Glad I asked! Can't say I can afford to be in the market right now, but came across this info somewhat randomly, so really had no basis to form an opinion.
Thanks for the input, gentlemen...

I think this is probably the same guy. His location is listed on Etsy as Laguna Vista, TX. His account on Ebay as Port Isabel. If you look at the map, they are basically the same community.

If you are looking for something to hang on your belt as more of a prop, Todd and Mag's have a pretty good fix...?

I've actually got a '95 12' David Morgan to hang on my belt (and use with gusto and much joy) but I was just curious about an affordable and useable close-enough for fun.
Was just curious, that's all.
