Ok, so if any of you remember my first post, the Jacket was too small...

I sent it back, now today, I get my new jacket, and wouldn't you know it? It is too big...BUT I think this time it wasn't my fault, because the chest size is wrong, and I never asked Peter to change that, and it says on the certifercate "Last Crusade" NOT "Temple of Doom"...oh well

I don't know what to do...I had to drive for an hour to the only Airborne station that will accept international, and it cost me 50 bucks...

This is very discouraging...although once again, I must say, this Jacket is nice...

What to do...help...I am thinking I'll just wear my old winter jacket and keep this one as a "souvenir?"

Well, the question is... how MUCH bigger is it?

48 was my requested Chest, this is 50, Length is fine, neck is WAY to big...but This is probably my fault as I told peter I wanted it 3 inches bigger, and sleeves are too long this time, but once again, prob my fault, but actually sleeves aren't too bad...but chest and neck, it feels like I'm swimming in it, plus it is last crusade style...and the inside pockets aren't zippered...and my name tag is not in there...this all makes me think they sent the wrong jacket...

Well I haven't been around COW as long as some and am certainly no expert, but as this was not your fault I suggest sending it back to Peter again and asking for a refund for your costs so far, plus having a new jacket made in the correct style and size.

You can't be expected to shell out for a fault which is not of your making - I think very highly of Wested, but it seems to me that if it's their fault they should pay the costs including a refund on your tax.

Anyone think I can send it back and just get a refund on the jacket and take 100 dollar hit for the shipping? I mean, I love indy, and a jacket as a souviner is nice, but I'd rather have the cash right now...

ob1, do you remember my other post? i think we determined that the first jacket was my fault...and I'm fine with that...but this one does not seem to be my fault...and honestely, if peter would give me back the other one I'd be happy too..

Although its probably all cut up by now...

Oh...this is physically making me sick...

I wonder if you and Fedora got jackets mixed up.

Don't get sick, get righteous Buletman!

Wested pledge to make the customer happy, they are a business and are big enought to absorb the cost of their own mistakes. I'm sure that if you email Gerry or Peter immediately and lay out your points, ignoring the first jacket question (who's mistake it was) as it is irrelevant now, they will be reasonable about this. Be sure to list your costs and the hour long drive you made, and your dissapointment at the wrong jacket being sent. Ask for a full refund of your costs including the tax you have had to pay, pointing out that you will have to pay yet again when your new remade jacket comes.

As Wested say, they live by their reputation so they will try to make it right, I hope.

Just my opinion anyway. Good luck with it!

Do you live in the United States? If you do, send the jacket
back thru the Post Office, using Express Mail, and just apply
all the normal customs papers, which they will give you.

Its cheaper, and you can send it from any post office in the
country. Its also safe that way because you can add in
any delivery confirmation receipts if you want to. Plus it will
get to Peter in only 3 or 4 days!

Don't send it thru Airborne if you live in the States. Use the
post office.

Yeah, does sound like you and Fedora have each others jackets.
I'm sure Peter will fix/replace the jacket since he's VERY customer orientated.
I also agree on the Airborne Express issue. If you're in the States, send it back through the post office.
Good luck!

About two years ago, I ordered my Wested and when it came there were some problems with the workmanship. I called Peter and he said send it back, they would take care of it and refund the shipping. I sent it in and when I got it back, the repairs weren't done and there was no refund of shipping costs. I emailed Wested and was told to send it again and the two shipping costs would be refunded and the repairs done. The turn around was fast, but the repairs were not all done and the ones that were done seemed to be done in haste. And, still no refund of shipping, and I even sent copies of the receipts. I emailed Wested every week for like two months and never heard anything back. I wanted to just have my jacket remade, but never got a response. I finally called and talked to Gerry (sp?) and was told that Peter was handling this himself and there was nothing he (Gerry) could do. Finally, after I had decided to live with the jacket and accept it as is, I got an email from Peter apologizing and saying he would take care of me on my next order.

All I'm saying is be careful, and make sure you want to put the money out there. Maybe you'd be better off selling the jacket and buying a new one. This was suggested to me at the time, but I had already sunk so much money into it that I couldn't see taking another hit.

When I ordered my jacket earlier this year, I called and confirmed my
order with Peter over the phone just to make sure that he had
received all my measurements and requests correctly. The call only
cost me $1.00 which was cheap insurance that my jacket would be perfect,
which it was in every way. E-mail is a great tool of the 21st century, but
a live conversation can be priceless in a situation such as yours.

Best of luck to you.

Wow, I am so relieved to see I am not the only one...

Thank you for posting your story.

Ok, I will call wested tomorrow, as it is probably too late today, and try to straighten it out.

Regardless, the modifications I asked him to make had nothing to do with increasing chest/jacket size by 2 whole sizes...so That is why I think this is wrong jacket...

That really ***** man!
Have you talked to Wested/Peter.
There may be a reason the jacket size was upd to a 50

It doesn't sound like its your fault.

Yes. I got the same message. Shortly after receiving my authentic lamb this year, with a name take in it, it was reported that the machine was broken.

Interesting, as almost the same thing happened when I ordered from BOIC. Shortly after receiving my pair, they went out of business.

Do you think I should order a new pair of Aldens?

Hummm. Surely we don't have another 'Typhoid Mary' situation here, do we, Pyro !? :-k  Regards. Michaelson
