Now first things first. I like my new Todd's raiders shirt, color, weight, over all feels great wearing, even in warm weather.

But one thing has always bugged me. The collar. I have a size L, as my second generation M has always been a little tight in the shoulder area, this is why I went L this time around.

Here's my quest. I need someone who has a M, I need you to measure the same as I did in the below pictures. and tell me what they are, are they the same or do they differ. I feel the issue is in the collar stand (is that right). Makes the collar stand up to much giving the Elvis look (last picture)

Okay, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I have a large as well, and the collar always felt weird on the back of my neck.

Now, I did dry clean the shirt and they repressed the collar and it feels better, but still a bit "off"

I bought a M last month with a plan to return whichever size didn't fit as well, and wound up returning the M because it was a bit tight. But honestly, I can't remember comparing collars when trying it on.

Not much help in your inquiry, but wanted to let you know you're not alone about this.

I have the medium in Todd's. Received it a couple months back and wrote about it somewhere on this board (I think vendor's section). I like the shirt a great deal. Great colour, weight and fit is good. Collar is a bit on the big side, as you state, but what really does but me are the cuffs. Very tight fit...and I don't have large wrists, either. I had to move the button's over a bit to utilize buttoning them. W>

Certainly...I'll get this out in a post tomorrow. Sorry for the delay. W>

Beat tomorrow...ran upstairs and made the measurements for you. Trying to simulate your shots, I come up with 4 & 3/8" from collar stand to end of collar (as in your photo #1) and from collar stand to tip of collar (as in your photo #2) I come up with 3 & 3/8". Hope this is of some assistance to you. W>

Yea I'm pretty sure I'm wearing my Todd's pants.

Shirts been to the tailor and back and 14.95, and I'm much happier the way the collar sits, no more Elvis.

And here it is after I've had the collar tailored. As you can see from the first pic, the collar now sits closer to my collar bone area, and no more Elvis.
Todd's out of size L at the moment, hope he gets more soon as I want to get another and do this to another shirt. This one while I'm happy did have a mishap on a bike ride, collar got tangled in the wheel. And no I wasn't wearing it.

Much happier now.

I apologize if the size is to big, photo bucket distorts the pic when I resize it to 640x480, does anyone know what it should be resized to so looks and conforms to COW policy?
