I got my Wested pre-distressed cow ToD jacket last week and it's a killer.
I already have a raiders lamb that I like, but the new one is more of a "adventure" jacket, lamb is more "dressier" I think. Also the color is excellent, my jacket looks (colorwise) a lot like Indy's in the motorcycle chase scene. Since I got it I have hightlighted all the edges and seams with a fine sandpaper to make it look even more battered. I have also treated it with Pecards. This also made the jacket darker which is nice. Overall I love my new jacket. It's great.

ZC,

I own two Raiders predistressed cow. One to display and one for every day wear. It is a durable hide, and living in Canada, I can wear it from September to May and be comfortable from +20 C to -20 C. Eventually I may get a lambskin for movie originality, but the quality of the cow is top notch!! I LOVE it, not just as an Indy jacket, but as a quality garment. When it first arrives, the colour seems a little light compared to the non-distressed, but a coating of Picards darkens it right up, and looks great.

If you're interested, go to

and scroll down most of the page to my Halloween pic. That's a predistressed Wested cow (with NH pants, shirt, bag w' strap, gun belt, web belt, DM whip and Fed Delux..and one HANDSOME fella!!!)

If it's opinions you seek, then I HIGHLY recommend the jacket. I can't remember life before I got mine....darn alcoholism!

I wore mine today.

The hide is very heavy and warm--perfect for Canadian weather. And like others have noted, when you first get it, the color is quite bright. But after Pecards--which it just loves, btw--the jacket darkens quite noticably. I treat it about every 6 months and can't believe how good it now looks. I can honestly say I'd never order any of the non-distressed jackets. I think they look too 'new.' The distressing addes so much character, especially when you're talking about this particular jacket.
