Being that they are in Canada...I'm surprised they aren't wearing Mounty hats ! Sorry....truly, couldn't resist , ! W>

Or toques a la McKenzie brothers. (Not even the RCMP wear the "Mountie Hat" unless it's a ceremonial deal.)

And I don't know what to call those things, I just know that no Fedora was ever made of pinstripe cloth.

And sweater vests? Really???

Obviously an EASTERN Canadian idea . . .

Unfortunately they chose to steal the current style of youth in New England, I'll pass on these guys for my next flight, don't think I could stand it!

I know those skinny brims are technically fedoras but they're definitely not for me. I can't pull off that look. At least it's not the ever-present baseball cap.

Though the mountie hat was funny, the toque idea is funnier to me. Found this article as well on the airlines. Apparently, besides wearing all that polyester, they have to pay for at least part of their own training....

Yeah, how cool would it be to see the flight attendants show up like this:

and the food could be cooked on a Hibachi charcoal grill in the aisle....
The airline could also use Bob and Doug's saying as their slogan...."Take off eh!"

i suppose you can that they are at least hats. But checked or pin striped? Here's the deal, a hat means something: Men Wear Hats. A hat is functional. In the old west a hat might tell you where a man was from and what he did for a living. A fedora means business. There's a reason why Spielberg and Lucas created a look for their hero, because they wanted him to look the way a man should. And they started with the hat.

Though technically a type/subclass of fedora, I've been calling the Trilbys myself to differentiate.

Those things are closer to being a fez than they are a fedora.

A Trilby is still a Fedora - same source (both originated in plays in the late 19th century - the fedora in 1882 and the trilby in 1894) and same description (a soft felt hat.) Ironically both were originally womens' hats .

Those weird looking cloth things just remind me of Ted Knight in Caddyshack.

Strangely enough, I have seen people running around in fezzes every now and again, and not just the Shriners.

A young lady had one, and one person in a group of teen/early 20s boys had a fez. I think that's more to do with the TV show "Doctor Who" than anything else.

They all need Indy fedoras!
