I already posted about Noel Haward's shirt but I can get one of his bags, it is a 1943 gas mask bag but also what about the strap ??

Bags from him were not such a big deal, they are just WWII gas mask bags after all.

When I started in this hobby you could pick them up for under £10. A lot under if they had a bit of wear. These days you can get them but end up paying quite a lot. There are repros around, but I've not had one fro a while, early ones were disappointing compared to the originals.

The one I can get is a 1943 bag with an Indy strap for not too much, what do you guys recommend ?? Or should I buy an original MK VII bag and get a suggested strap by another recommended manu ?? Not for nothing I'm not a newbie to this as I've always been into the fedora and the gun but on some of the fringe stuff like bags , gloves, etc. I need a little advise. Thnx

I know the bag and strap your talking about. From the picture I can't tell if it's a Noel Howard strap or not.

I still have a noel howard bag and used to have a strap but sold it. The bag isn't anything special. Might as well pick one up from WPG or one of the other retailers.

The strap if I recall was a lighter brown with a square buckle. Wade easily makes one and many other retailers. Heck, I'd just buy it either from Todd's or WPG.

Go WPG all the way for the bag, they might still have some of the originals W&G, but I feel it necessary to mention you could have a dry rot issue on the sides where the rings are attached. I did on two of them, sent them to Wade for repair and he did a smashing good job.
I then beat the day lights out of it and it's broken in nicely.

For the strap I just got a Keppler bag strap (no grooves) and it's perfect.

My Noel Howard bag strap with instruction sheet. It does have the lines.
