My AB 2008 order lost, unable to contact Steve

Raiders of the Lost Orders

In ancient Australian history, 6 May 2008 to be exact, a long-time Raiders fan keenly ordered and paid for a hallowed relic, to be hand-crafted by a masterful artisan who lived across the seas. However, the cruel sands of time buried the artisan's paperwork, and the order became lost, perhaps forever.

Greetings from Australia.

On May 6, 2008 I paid for and ordered a size 7 3/8 beaver pelt Raiders from Steve. In Feb 2010 he replied briefly via email to say he was on Jan 2008 orders, and soon would catch up to mine. That's the last I heard from him, so mine must have became one of his lost batch of orders.

Over the last 12 months I've tried emailing Steve numerous times. I've about 4 times left voice messages on his workshop phone answering service, with my name/email/phone contact details. I tried once to PM him via this forum. I've even in desperation tried emailing Marc Kitter (no reply), just in case he could help me to get a message to Steve. If any of you Raiders of the Lost AB Orders have any suggestions, I'm all ears, because I feel like I've exhausted every avenue and received no reply,

Brad

Brad, rather than re-writing the same information over and over again, I'm just posting the quote that administrator NES posted in the other AB thread:
NES:
Site Admin
We fully appreciate and understand the situation with AB.
We feel for the folks who are waiting, but there is nothing we can do about it.

Unlike the delinquent vendors who have been banned, Adventurebilt is still producing hats for members here that do show up on here. For example, a member just informed us that he will be receiving his AB from a few years ago shortly.

There is no reason to allow threads to get cluttered with complaints about the business practices of a vendor. In all the years that IndyGear staff have attempted to allow threads for "venting," these threads have not improved the situation one iota. Rather than relieving frustration, these threads tend to snowball and just get everyone even more worked up. Since Fedora has not logged on since last year, these complaint threads are not reaching him.
So, if any one has any ideas, please send Brad a PM.

COW is a forum to discuss gear....not to act as a mediator between a vendor and customer.

Regards! Michaelson
