A couple new ones

The first one is an 8' 12 plait indy style whip in natural tan. It was sold to a member here. I only managed to get a single picture of it because I was fighting the clock to get it out the day I told him I would get it out. I did manage to get it out that day, I'm proud to say :D

Here it is:

The second is also a bullwhip in natural tan, but a different style. It's an australian styled bullwhip, 10" handle, 12 plait ending in 6, 5 ft. long. It's got a bit of pattern work on the handle, and also an extra at the end of the handle:

My photography skills are less than desirable, but hopefully they get the point across.

The second one, the 5 footer, is up for sale. There will be a for sale ad up soon for anyone who's interested.

What do you guys think?

 I'd hope you do :TOH:

When you try out the tapered cracker ( the long white one ) please let me know what you think of it. I'm interested to have an outside opinion. I'm the only one that's used one of mine and I love them! But nobody else has used one of mine so far. Be sure when the tassel wears out to just cut behind the knot for a whole new tassel!

I hope you continue enjoying it, and thanks for the business :TOH:

Very nice!

One thing, try cutting your core strands flush with your overlay strands after the fall hitch; it makes it look neater and you have less of a chance of them receding into the thong or otherwise slipping under the hitch.
Cheers,

Franco

Awsome job riku!! I really like the second whip. Is it 6 foot or 5 foot. And price, thanks.

To my eye, your plaiting work looks better (tighter) than what I've seen on whips costing twice as much (or way more). Is it the beveling of the strands that makes them fit so tightly?

Thanks everybody!

On the second whip, the 5 footer, I was going for a really smooth feel, so I didn't cut the strands as wide as I would on an indy whip ( I go for wider strands on an indy whip. I don't really like the rough feel the David Morgan whip's seem to have, so I don't cut them quite as wide, but it is still rougher than, for example, the 5 footer I made ).

So, it's in part the thinner strands, in part the beveling, ( which most everybody does, so that's not a big factor in it looking smoother than others ) and also I plait VERY. For instance the 5 footer, before it had been moved around a lot from tying all the handle knots, would stick out almost completely straight when held horizontally. When you plait that tight the strands often have no choice but to lay really neat and smooth ( as long as they aren't super wide ).

I'll send you a pm with info drewtheman :TOH:

Nice! Congratulations, Jeremy.

I really like the ferrule on the second one and the knots that keep it in place.

Top notch work, man! You are definitely still at the top of my list for my next planned whip purchase (I say "planned" because I was about ready to order one from you when that Joe Strain fell into my lap... sorry 'bout that  )!

I was showing it off to a friend today and the cracker came off with the knot on the fall. I figured it's just the hard texas grass so it was a perfect time to try that tapered cracker you talked about. #### dude.....that thing is loud!!!!

Yay! So it wasn't just my imagination :)

The knot may have worked itself loose, it's not too common but it happens. I'm glad you're liking it :) It looks like it's breaking in well, from what I can see in the picture. It's coiling a little easier.
