Indiana Jones trousers

Post by Bounty Hunter »

I'm curious, what has everyone been using/buying for their Indy trousers lately? I know LLBean took the TA25771 pants off (actually, i think their only offered in 'light brown' now), and Noel Howard left MBA or so I heard (thankfully I got the Raiders shirt from him a year back). Christmas is coming up and I'm just wondering the possibilities. Also, is it taupe that gives you a gray color in certain lighting and a brownish color in different lighting? (as seen in different scenes of Raiders)
Happy Thanksgiving,

Well, Taupe is the brown/grey color. And I don't have any real indy pants, but when I see a good deal on close enough's, I get them, whereever I am. Hope this helps.

Regards, Daryl.

The LL Beans are truely great. Very high quality and have the "right" fit.

However they are all with a Teflon-fixed crease, but that would be the only
turndown I can think of.

If You want to see them in different light check out my homepage under
"pants". The colour vary quite a lot. When looking at my picture they look
quite grey, but take a look at the Indy-photo (from TOD) right next too and notice the kind of purple his pants are. The L.L. Beans do vary that much depending of the light.

Best regards

I bought the LLBEAN chinos, natural fit pleated about 1 1/2 ago, maybe longer... anyway the crease is still there, and pretty defined too. Takes away the worn out 'Indy' look a bit. It's weird though when you look at Raiders and pictures from it... his trousers look gray much like the LLBean taupe in the Cairo scene were he's at Sallah's house (first scene in Egypt), yet in the rest of the Cairo footage, they look more brown than anything. Lighting can be very frustrating for matching color!...

I have brought severel items from L.L. Bean, and beside that damm custom-fee, that NEVER fails from sendings from Bean, I haven´t had any problems at all.

I would recoment that You simply order the stuff You want - by fax or Online, and I would be very suprised if the order was turned down.

In fact I recieve their catalogue 3- 4 times a year, and I doubt that they
would send it to me, on their own initiative, if their had stopped selling/shipping to Europe.

So.. go ahead.... I would :D

Best regards
