THAT'S a predistressed cowhide?? My goodness. the colour is great! Mine is so much lighter than that, but your pics, unless a lighting trick, makes it look a lot more screen correct.

Unless Peter is using a darker method? Wear it in good health. I have had my cow Wested for over 2 yrs now, and couldn't imagine life without it. Congrats on a fine jacket!

Are the pockets off on some jackets? Or were before? Or do you have to specify what you want? :-k
I'm guessing this has been discussed before but I figured I'd just throw it out there.

Man! I'm torn between a dark brown Lambskin, and the Distressed cow.
I already have a Dark brown Cowhide, but that distressing job looks awesome. Will Peter do a distressing to Lamb?

The color is off in the picture. You can tell this by looking at the color
of the lining, and the color of the d-rings.

The Predistressed is still the same lighter, almost tan color, that
you all remember, and it still looks like suede until you Pecard it.

It is a nice jacket. Wear it in good health, and make sure you put
something on the surface such as Pecards, or it will get dirty really
fast. And god forbid you wear it out in the rain and it gets wet before
you apply something to it to protect it!

The pockets are raiders style.

Flathead, I´m from Spain, where can I buy Pecards? There is an online shop to buy it?
Thank you very much.

Regarding the color of the "new" pre-distressed cow hide I just want to say that the jacket I recieved last week was really dark and NOT tan like the old ones we are used to see. After I put Pecards on it, it's almost as dark as my lamb, but it's looks more "adventure". It looks really cool. :D

This jacket is very interesting for a lot of reasons,
one thing the collar stand does not seem to be present, which looks very LC, the pocket placement is also very LC, if there were aged brass press studs, the pocket edges a little more rounded and the side strap pushed down a bit it would be a dead ringer for the Last Crusade Jacket,

All the best,
Stefan

Thats good to hear. The one I had and have seen of
other peoples was a terrible tan/suede
thing that was so evenly distressed over the entire jacket, that
it looked like one of those bad 80's acid washed things.

I sent it back not for that, but because the pocket snaps came
off. This was at the time Peter was having trouble with his
supplier for the snaps.

I got the Authentic Lamb, and I could not be happier.

How is the Pre-distresed Cowhide when it comes to "abuse?" How much of a beating can it take? Any examples of stories out there? :D

Pozi,

So this model is a full raiders type without any customisations (collar, pockets, etc..) ??

Nevertheless it looks a bit long for a raiders...

Could you confirm ?

Thanks.

Pozi: Regarding Pecards, try this adress:

http://www.antiqueleatherdressing.co.uk/

This is in England and shipping is half price. At least to Sweden it was, compared to get it from US. Good luck!

Looks light blue on my monitor too. I am salivating I want to order one so bad, but I want to be sure I get the right color. Question -- do these pics look like the same color as this, which is also "pre-distressed" as per description on this site?

http://www.indygear.com/gear/images/pat ... ested1.jpg

The second one's color looks like what I want, but, man, the color difference is DRAMATIC!

I think what is being referred to are the bluish highlights from the flash (or other light source) and not the leather itself. That I can see, but a light blue jacket? Not on my monitor.

Officer's Pinks and a light blue jacket. What's next a yellow Fedora?

That sure looks dark....and blue. I know, the lighting, etc.
I ordered some Pecard dressing and lotion too but it hasn't arrived just yet. I can't wait to apply some Pecards to my pre-distressed Wested to darken it up. This current color looks great compared to previous offerings, eh? 8)

Pozi,
Is it a regular size or long size ?
It seems quite long for a raiders jacket.
