Fastners are important, COW mongers!
They keep 'ya together and lookin' sharp! Where would be be w/o them...?
Ode to the oft. overlooked and underrated component of the gear. C'mon, at least it deserves a poll..?
In your opinion (subjective/POV), what vendor(s) use the most authentic strap fasteners? In your opinion, which one fastner is the most authentic?
...hhhmm...
sound off!

Your poll and your question are mismatched.

C'mon, guys. You know which one(s) you like on your jackets.

...metal oxide loops, Tundy.
..I think the web site lists them as..."original black-oxide rectangular D-rings," but they are not "D-rings," as we would know them. If I'm not mistaken, during production, D-rings were used first, but because because lamb is thin, the straps kept pulling out, so they went with others.
Actually, what I'm asking is...
which ones do you like best on your jacket? That probably is the better question for this thread.
I think I prefer Todd's tri-gliders for the Raiders jacket, and D-rings for LC.

How about blued steel tri-glides that used to be antique brass sliders?
I sanded the "brass" plaiting off of my Hero's sliders and treated them with cold bluing solution.

Using the "Brass Black" saved you alot of time!
Unfortunately, I accidentally went throught the plaiting (I incorrectly assumed they were solid brass) when sanding them and had to use the Birchwood Casey Perma Blue liquid. Sanding the rest of the brass off was quite a chore!! Just now got my fingerprints back!!!
However, I really like the way it came out.

Of all the details, I've never cared about the SA of the sliders. But I do like the G&B set up as the straps and sliders are very strong and well designed - the way they are mounted into the seam itself. An improvement on a weak bit of design IMO.
