Thank you, Sylvia !

Well, :-k :-k I find the handle rather heavy, probably because of the lead. But when I handle the whips, the thongs don't weigh a lot.
His owner found them really light, because he's used to 8fter leather bullwhips.....
So I can't tell.....

Of course, they're much more heavier than my nylon stockwhips O:) O:)

I'd love to try them one time! They look really nice!Probably i would find them heavy ,because i'm used to the performance hybrid wich are very light!:-)
Last year,i did a 5.5 bulllwhip nylon and i find it so heavy for me!!after 5 minutes practice with him my shoulder start tu hurt ,héhé,and to do the volley is just so much effort.Bu my boyfrien loves it as he do more overhead cracks and forwrd cracks ,so i guess it depends on wath trick you are using the whip too,one whip routine or two whips routine.
Have a nice day!

thank you Cracker!

Sylvia, i absolutetly understand your feeling.
Since I've made my own nylon whips, all my training and my progress is probablly due to those light whips:
not that I don't like indy whips or leather bullwhips, but -as you've mentionned- one become very much quickly tired, handling leather bullwhips, especially in double handed. less repetitions, less progress in my opinion.

I've tried many times Hybrid performance nylons whips from Paul and Lauren's. I love those whips. One day I'll order one pair, once I'll make up my mind on what colours!!!

In the meantime-as I am still an apprentice and passionned whipmaker- I've found a formula of stockwhips that is-for me-the most perfect choice for practicing double handed whipcracking routine. I'm just beginng to give to otherwhipcrackers a trial. we'll see in the future if the formula is good for most. ;)

anyway here are one pair I've made for a girl. As we're more here to talk about indy bullwhips i don't open a new post for that:

You're open to open a thread on anything here, as long as it's related the whips. Yes it's an indy forum but we've talked about

many different things, not just indy whips :TOH:

My fellow French whipmaker...

:D It is always nice to see your work!

I love the proportions on those white bullwhips. Slender, and the taper for such a short pair of whips looks great. I like the long falls, which help extend the taper too.

And I really like what other materials have to offer to whipmaking, as nylon. The way the plaiting changes to a twisted point, and then to a single fall, is quite interesting and unique. I've been experimenting with rope for whipmaking, and it offers some things which leather can't. That's what I love about whipmaking! You can pretty much make a whip out of any material.

Congratulations, Jean!

Aldo.

The stock whips are nice too,but i like the color of the bullwhips more :-)
I love the look of a bullwhip more than a stockwhip, but like you say multiple crack routine are just so much easier with stockwhips that i adopted them!
