For me they looks awesome, the only thing is zipper instead of buttons, when it comes to SA.
What do you think?

For me it's even better. I don't like pleats in pants. What I really like is the color and cut, which doesn't look too baggy. Plus they are cavarly twill wool!

Woah, those are some pretty pricey pants! But they ARE Calvary Twill so nice!

Well, if you're after WWII Officer Pinks, these are a great option and designed off of one of several war-based patterns. If you're after Indy pants specifically, then you're looking for something based off of pinks like these. Nice trousers, regardless!

That's fine. I just prefer the pleats. Of coarse the reason they aren't pleated is (I posted this somewhere on this site before...) because of the war effort many luxuries were put aside and one was pleats in men's pants. Everything was going for the war effort, so just like anything else, fabric was a commodity to be used wisely as well. Thus, no pleats. Like I said they really do look great. Nice cut, beautiful colour. W>

Army trousers weren't pleated before the war effort, either. They were just designed that way.

I wanna pair sooo bad! Need to start scraping those nickles. Those would go great with my new half belt and my redwing cap toe boots!

Could those USAAF Officers Shirts be used for a US Army officer shirt? I was needing to put together an OSS officers uniform for a picture.....

Hi, Folks...........I have a pair of Eastman's that I acquired from their U.S distributor at http://www.historypreservation.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

I especially like the pocket flaps, but they are a heavy trouser. Certainly not for warm weather, or jungle adventure!

Yes. The Air Force was a part of the Army until after the end of WWII. You could use the pink (or khaki) shirt for a Class A army uniform. The green variant shown there was an Air Forces work shirt.

Awesome, thanks! Does anyone happen to know if the US army WWII greatcoats had rank brainds on the eppauletts? or anywhere else? They never seem to in any of the ones I pull up online....

You can get them pleated (Adventure Pants) or non pleated (Officer's Pinks) in cavalary twill WOOL or COTTON!

Indeed, that's correct. It wasn't a matter of war effort sacrifice as it was an army air corps regulation. Uniforms HAD to have certain criteria met for the uniform (although I can't recall off-hand now exactly WHAT those criteria were - will have to try and find that again); however, as long as those regulation criteria were met, officers could go into any tailor, hand him the basic criteria list and then go ahead with whatever "extras" he wanted - such as adding pleats or staying flat-front, the design of the back pocket flaps, etc. It's very rare though to find a pair of Officer Pinks with pleats (in fact, I've yet to come across a pair) as most men basically kept to the standard procedure. However, I've always felt that an Officer looks the best in pleats - perhaps that's why they chose pleats for Indy's pants. A mix between adventure and professional - just what Indy is.
