Thanks for the compliments. I've resigned myself to the fact that getting "the look" means working with a hat over time through "many looks," since everything with an Indy-style fedora is a compromise. I also decided that I'd just put this hat through all kinds of treatments to break it in (although I have worn it for four years, as well), and see what happens. But it's impressive how reversible a lot of things are, like bashes, creases, dusting, ribbon work, etc. It's fun, and I've really come to look at doing this as something akin to sculpting (I have some art background, so. . .guess that's why).
