Nowak history question

Hi guys,

Been awhile since I've been back. I was thinking about it, and I'm sure of all the ppl around you guys would be the authority on the market.

I had Tony Nowak craft me one of his Raiders, very shortly before he passed away. It's not really important, but I was curious as to how many of those limited editions he made out of the 888 series? When I spoke to him, it seemed like he'd made a lot but not near his mark. Also, after his son took over ( I've just browsed the debate about his takeover) did he start a new series, so that the numbers would reflect that indeed you own a LE Raiders of Tony, not the new company established.

Yes, I've been out of the radar, and I apologize if my question is obvious/irritating to the veterans here. But in heart, i'm one of your own, so I would greatly appreciate if you'd humor me with this query.

Matt

The only way to be certain of how many Raiders jackets have left TNO, you would have to be able to see the folder containing each customers order (name, jacket number, inscription). As for the numbering, it remained the same after Riley took over the shop.

I've seen these books personally. I would say 75% of the numbers are taken already for the 888 series. Tony made more KOTCS jackets than any other Indiana Jones movie Jacket.

Great question!

I honestly don't know how many CS numbers were / are still available.  That series was close though to being filled. During my first visit with Tony that was the one thing he asked "what number do you want?". Every single number I wanted birthday, anniversary, kids birthday were all taken. Finally he got the 3-ring binders and I flipped through until I noticed a number I liked. I can say this though, more than 2/3 off the numbers are taken for the 777 CS series.

Wow. Makes sense.

The date I wanted was my wedding anniversery, but unfortunately, that one was reserved as it was the same as the release date of the film. #-o

So, I took my birth date instead.

Yeah it's kind of crazy. I honestly think Tony didn't know how many were taken unless he took the time to actually count them one by one. Not that he wasn't organized, but as we all know he's was a very very busy man.
