A Dr. Who Thank You!

A couple of weeks ago, I was rapidly getting ready to run out to pick up my grandson from school and in my haste to put my shoes on, I broke my Wested Dr. Who Jacket  ! Well, 'broke,' is a bit much. What I did was toss it on a bed at home and then proceed to sit down to put my shoes on -- oops -- CRACK! Yep. Sat on a button. Now you would think that living in a city (not large, but not small either) our size, I could find a good replacement button that would match! No cupcakes here! No dice! Of coarse they would have gladly sold me an entire 'fleet' of different buttons, but I did not even want to anticipate the project it would be to replace every button on the jacket. So, I sent an email to Wested. Gemma was back with me in a couple of hours and for the price of postage I now have my button replaced and two spare, just in case of future mishaps! As always, with my experiences with Wested, they came through like champs and just for the cost of posage to boot! Thanks Gemma! Thanks Peter! Always good to know I can count on this kind of great customer care! W>

When I ordered my prototype LC 'Fedora' jacket a few years back, I found a full ziplock bag of replacement buttons in my jacket pocket when it arrived.

When it comes to buttons, Wested has you covered! :M:

Have you ever posted pics of this jacket on site? I don't recall seeing them if you did and if you didn't, would you mind? I would love to see that style of jacket from Wested. I have thought about one of those over the years and just, for one reason or another, have not pursued it. Would love to see one though. Thanks. W>

There used to be a thread around here when it was originally made, and posted by either Peter or KT, but darned if I can find it anymore.

It exactly like the 'Utah' jacket made by Magnoli, as seen here:

Why Peter never pursued this one I'll never know, but at least I have the custom made prototype to wear in my collection from Wested.

Yeah...I knew the jacket-type you were referring to, just wondered how the Wested version had turned out. Thanks! Was yours black as well? W>

Yes, it is.

I had him make it in new finish cowhide to keep the weight down.

WCOnly, while we're on the topic, would you mind posting a picture of your Dr. Who jacket? I know what is a bit off topic, but I'm thinking about buying one and I've yet to see one actually on someone. I figured that while I have your attention I could possibly get a look. I'd like to have some idea of appearance before I make the order.

Thanks!

If my hard drive will cooperate -- yes, I will attempt to post one. I have been having issues with the hard drive not allowing me to perform certain functions and pictures is but one of these. W>
