indy gun S&W 1917

Post by wisconcinanderson »

I'm a new member her and thought I should show my work. I started with an old model Matz 4 inch barrel magnum. I removed the strip on top of the barrel giving it the round look. then I shortened and thinned down the actual sight. I then removed the lug under the barrel that houses the ejector rod. I glued everything in place so its a static model though the action does work. at least it will fit the holster.

I like it! Tell me more. Is/was it airsoft, or just a replica? Plastic or metal? Sugar or plain?

(100 Internets to anyone who gets the reference.)

Is the red color the base, or is it Bondo putty?

its an old plastic model by a company named Matz 70's era. the red putty is nitro stan 90 its an auto filler I used it to cover the texture on the model as any gun would be smooth and not textured at least from the indy era :D

At least we aren't trying to decipher the blade runner blaster, like over on propsummit. That one prop can cost as much as a jacket, hat and whip all together.
