What exactly kind of white suit does our fav adventure hero wear at the begginng of ToD? Like, single or double breasted jacket and how many buttons(two or 3? I'm guessing 2), what kind of vest, type/color bow tie, etc? Shoes?

I think Sergie and Minnesota Jones would be the gentlemen to consult here.

It's an Ivory Single-Breasted Dinner Jacket
Peak Lapel
One Button in front
Four Buttons on each sleeve
No pocket flaps
Lapel pocket on left chest
Unfortunately, all the dinner jackets I was finding were white, or Ivory but not a peak lapel.... lots of shawl collars available (think Bogie) - so mine was finally custom made by The Magic Wardrobe who did the "Marion White Dress."

The rest is standard Tuxedo fare...
Black Tuxedo Pants with the black stripe on the sides
Black Tuxedo Shoes
Black Tuxedo Bow Tie (with clasp on side) - not a tie-it-yourself
Black 3 button Vest (not sure if real vest or the fake kind) - mine has 4 buttons
White Tuxedo Shirt with NO pleats on the front
White Suspenders
Cufflinks
And don't forget the Red Carnation

Whoa... That Tux is so cool! You look ready to impale Lao's son with a burning shishkabob.

Thanks! The hard part was the darn jacket. This is maybe my favorite shot of me and Sergei with our ToD Tuxes on....

I'm pretty sure it was an open back vest. I think theres a scene that shows the shoulder/neck area pretty well.
A proper single breasted formal or dinner jacket will only have one button. K

Indeed it is you have a good eye - if you search the QM summit photos you can see her sporting the dress onboard the ship.

That is indeed my sweet Maryon sporting the Mark I Marion White Dress. Pictures were taken at our old digs in California. Elizabeth at The Magic Wardrobe is a wonderful person and business owner with which to deal. She is patient and highly attentive to detail. We both did in-person customizing business with her before appearing at the QM Summit. Highly recommended!

i remember a few months ago, there was a vendor on ebay getting rid of a TON of these jackets to almost specification for dirt cheap (~$25+s/h). I think mine has a peakless lapel and side pockets, i had to add the black buttons on the sleeves, but is otherwise screen accurate. not sure if theres anything like this still out there, but it can't hurt to check. As long as you don't mind it not being 100% screen accurate (i don't), it'll give you some great bang for your buck!
