Yet another ongoing project. I bought a holster used from another COW member and have been spending quality time with it.

Here's how it looked originally:

I wet it and worked it over quite a bit by hand, scuffed it with sandpaper and steel wool, applied various oils, rubbed it with Pecard's, dabbed some spots with brown shoe polish, soaked it and tried to wet-mold it (didn't quite succeed), let it dry, applied an uneven coat of Obenauf's, which I've recently fallen in love with, and scuffed and rubbed it some more. I'm going for a lighter Raiders look, so it's going to need some more work, but I thought I'd show it off anyway.

*(Psst! Is there a tongue-in-cheek smiley?)

I love the texture of the flap? The color came out beautiful. Glad you liked the Obenaufs. Most of mine has the smell of honey but once in awhile it's a stronger smell. Did you use oil or HDLP? You can add a little color to the oil to work it in a little at a time and the oil pulls the color into the fibers.
