Club Obi Wan

Just found these vintage style hiking boots.

They're called "Danner Mountain Lights" and were recognized in the 2011 "Gear of the Year" list.
They look nice but are really pricey at $330 retail.

I've seen Danner boots referenced from time to time here on COW.
They seem to get positive remarks. Comments? Alternatives?

Yep Danner makes a great boot. The loggers and mill worker live by them up here in the NW. The local Skil chainsaw shop stocks them. I bought a pair for my son when he started work as a merchant marine.
