I think the servo is the color you would want. With wear and leather conditioners like pecards or Dr. Jacksons they will show some nice character and mild deepening/darkening color.
IMO the Wyo. is too dark.

For the price, I'd just get some from Todd's

I don't think Todd has boots currently in stock.
The burnished (as oppose to brown as typed above) servo lux I'm seeing on that site look plain yellow to me. Maybe I'm missing something? I would go with the Wyoming brown.

I agree. The servo are much to yellow for my liking. Nice boots though.

Hello all, brand new to the forums
I ordered a pair of these the other day through Doc Martens website. They had only one pair left and they just happened to be in my size and on sale for only $56! Can't get a much better deal than that. They are the Brown Burnished Servo Lux and should be the color of the ones
here.
I get the feeling that they may be a discontinued model which is why they were on sale for so little but I'm not sure on that. I'm a big fan of Doc Martens because I can be really tough on shoes and they always seem to hold up well to my abuse. And with that styling and price I couldn't go wrong.
They should arrive on Thursday so I will post some pics when they get here.

Thanks, glad to be here
No, I didn't see your thread, in fact I ordered the boots before I got access to Club Obi Wan and just happened to see this thread at the top after I was approved, what a coincidence!
Those do look very nice in your pictures, I'm even more excited for mine to arrive! Have they darkened much more since you got them? I have some Pecards so I may use that as well. Wish I could afford some Aldens but for the price these are a good substitute for now.

Thanks...The Pecards does darken them temporarily, but I did it more to make the boots waterproof....With mine, even in light rain, the water would just soak right up into the leather...Did this as soon as I noticed how absorbent they were, so almost straight away......

My Dr Martens arrived the other day and I took some time to put two coats of Pecards on them. They are very comfortable and definitely worth the $56 I paid for them. I'm just sorry they only had one pair in stock as I would have bought another set.
The first picture is how they looked out of the box:
The Second is after I had finished putting one coat of Pecards on one shoe and not on the other:
The last picture is 24 hours after I put the second coat of Pecards on both shoes. They darkened quite nicely. I also added some darker brown shoelaces although they are a bit thicker than I wanted so I may try to find some others:

Thanks!
I'm very pleased with how they turned out, and the laces were a blind buy with the shoes so when I get a chance I'll find some thinner one.
Someday I'd love to have a pair of Aldens but not in the budget right now. I just ordered a whip from Dusty at Crease N Corral so I'll have to hold off on any big purchases for a bit hehe.

Very nice find, there, and they look fabulous after the Pecards! I agree with Michael about the laces -- thinner is better.

Thanks

the boots lightened a little bit after wearing them but not much and the Pecards made them much easier to break in that Doc's I've had in the past. The laces actually look a bit thinner lonce they are tightened but I'm still going to pick up some thinner ones.

Not bad, but a little too modern to my eyes.
