What colour grey is closer to the film. They have Grey and silver grey..

Raiders or KOTCS?

Personally I think their pictures make felt color really hard to tell, no matter which vendor. If you want something online to compare to, look at the carbon grey fed IV as a raiders traveller and the AB Henry in grey as the CS traveller. Other than than, perhaps ask the vendor if they can send you a color swatch of each.

The Grey Henry was picked because of its resemblance to the Raiders hat, not the KOTCS. I voted for the KOTCS grey, but was overruled on that one.

Personally I think the gray Henry is about as close to the Raiders clipper hat in color as you'll find. The Federation Moonstone is close to CS. Of course, you can actually get that exact hat anyway. The Christy's colors are hard to determine on a screen. And I'm not sure if the colors are even going to be the same as when ordering a couple years ago.

What about the KOTCS colour.

Strictly judging by the photos on top secret hats, I would get silver grey for a KOTCS hat.

The Henry is nothing like the CS grey. The Henry grey is a dead on for the raiders grey.

Yeah, I also had the wrong color for the Fed, it's the Moonstone I was thinking of, not Carbon Grey... not sure why I was so fuzzy headed when I typed that up... sorry if I confused anyone.

As far as the Chisty's hat.....don't waist your time or money. I know the price is enticing, but it is a far inferior hat in comparison to other offerings. As for the colors that they offer in the ''gray scale'', I chose the burma by recommendation of the earlier referenced post, and was thoroughly disappointed. It was more of a brownish, olive, slightly gray color. It, by no means, matched the Raiders gray, so I opted to contact John Penman. If you want an awesome hat, just have John make one for you. You won't be disappointed and it's worth every penny. As he stated earlier the Henry gray matches the clipper hat. Mine was custom, but I believe he uses the same color felt. I just went on a trip to Colorado and you wouldn't believe how many compliments I got on that hat.
The colors for the C.S. that Christy's offers, I wouldn't know. Nor do I care. Ownership of their hat was soooo disappointing that even considering looking on the site is out of the question. Just get a Penman. if not, good luck on your quest.
