Original Aldens

Post by knibs7 »

Just got these a couple weeks ago. They are by far IMO the most SA Raiders Aldens I've seen (especially opening sequence). I'm assuming this is because the boots are very old Aldens, but in phenomenal shape.

I'm strangely partial to the CS Aldens...BUT THOSE have got to be the best Aldens I've seen. Hands down.

Great looking boots Knibs!!

I've recently acquired a new pair, so they're a ways off looking as cool as yours...

Any idea of how old the are?

Ok I guess I'm somewhat reviving this thread... After watching Raiders for the umpteenth time I finally stopped procrastinating about asking this question: What was the deal with the Aldens? In the opening sequence in the temple, they are the exact color as my Aldens in this thread, but during the truck chase they look just like my 403s. So was it just the lighting in the opening sequence?

They used different colour for the truck pedal sequence.

There were over 40 jackets on set, 'umpteen' HJ fedoras, shirts and trousers....why think there was only one pair of boots available to Ford? We know he brought his own shoes to the party when filming began, but once that was established, I'm sure Fritz supplied several more pair for production.

The reddish toned versions were slowly replacing the brown color at that time, so there could have very well been an overlap of colors during filming.
