My CNC Indy Combination Whip
I though some of you may be interested in a whip I ordered recently from Dusty at Crease N Corral. I contacted Dusty and this is what he helped me come up with.
Here are the specs:
We start with the overall design of the Crease-N-Crusader with its 5 inch handle and most importantly the small bulge just above the ring knot. Thats a key characteristic.
Now taper the handle like the doom whip but staying with the 5 inch length.
Next add stiffness to the transition like the Indy 4 to increase response, performance and the ability to perform multiple cracking routines but without the massive diameter of the Jacka whips.
Now all of this in the natural Raiders color the last few feet of the braid with the Streets of Cairo weathered finish and with the Raiders style ring and heel knots with a wrist loop.
I went with an 8ft since I am still working on perfecting my whip cracking abilities.

I can't wait to see it, I saw you post this on lounge also. Just as a FYI, the handle isn't 5 inches long, it's 8, but the distance
between the heel knot and transition knot is 5 inches, which is normal for an indy style whip.
What is the ETA? I forgot

He said about six weeks not counting shipping and I ordered it around two weeks ago! I never knew the meaning of patience until I became involved in this hobby!

Hey Patch,
What you doin' around these parts?
I can't wait to see your whip from Dusty.
With the exception of the bulge in the transition, I love all the specs you gave (I'm not a fan of the Crease-n-Crusader bulge).
Before I placed my order for a Raiders with him, I was very close to ordering a very similar whip;
TOD handle with the LC thicker thong. (Once upon a time, I submitted an order like that to Graeme, but, you know the story!)
Don't forget the pics when it arrives.
5 weeks and counting! I can't wait for my new CNC whip!

I too dislike the way the bulge is done on his crease n crusader whips. I actually like the knot to be over the bulge, not before, to
me it looks kinda funny

I also like the TOD tapered handle and LC thicker thong, and I almost asked Graeme to do that when I ordered my whip. Sounds like a great whip you're gonna get Patch! Can't wait to see it!

Well, here is my first pic of my new whip. Dusty actually finished it about two weeks early.
