I think Todd's should offer a MTM denim jacket

Since Wested is no longer producing their denim Indy jacket, I think Todd's should pick up the slack & offer a made-to-measure option in denim. I know they just recently started offering their MTM leather jacket again & I would get one if it was made in denim or a heavy cotton duck cloth.
Thoughts? Comments?

Denim? Nah, I'd pass. It would be like getting a leather fedora.

I also agree with JC1972. I think denim has a smaller market share IMO, I could be totally wrong though? Todds standard is light weight enough to wear all year even in Utah's hot dry climate.

I'd buy a MTM brown denim Indy jacket. Maybe a black denim too.

Didn't Wested phase out the denim because they were replacing it with cotton drill? There is still a non-leather alternative available from them. Besides their denim jacket wasn't the best made thing, the lining in mine tore to shreds the first time I needed to wash it.

Cotton drill was first, then the denim.
Cotton drill is 'dry clean only'.
You can still get it made in drill, though.
I have the prototype hanging in my closet 'as we speak'.

I like the idea of a cloth Raiders jacket. It would probably be warmer than the lambskin.
If they are made to order, I don't see why he couldn't make them in cloth.
Have you asked him about it?

What if you just wash it in cold water?
I did wash mine before in hot (really hot) water so it would shrink a tad... remember my sleeves that shrunk? Hehe. Just wondering if I didn't use hot water (and didn't put it in the dryer on high), would cotton drill still shrink?

The only problem I can think of is when drill is washed in water, it tends to 'fray' and you get little cloth balls across the surface. They're removable, but a pain to deal with when your entire jacket is covered with them.
Anyway, the Wested cotton drill jacket is plainly tagged 'dry clean only', and it's good advice.
