I got a lot of whip time in this weekend, and on Sunday I learned a combo that I'm calling the "Winrich Flash" as it's a piece of the combo string Adam shows with his 10 foot Indy bullwhip in one of his YouTube vids.
It's been going well, still trying to add a few flourishes at the end of it:

And this one I picked up last fall, from DarenHenryW's (flicky76?) video on YouTube that he called the DeLongis Flash. I added the repeat flourish at the end of it, felt nice:

I'm using my 8 foot Joe Strain Raiders Anniversary bullwhip in both videos.
Can't wait to fine tune both of these, and get some more Poly Pro poppers as those nylon ones (I ran out of the poly pros this weekend) get tangled too easily with combo work!
The video quality isn't great, which is surprising as my wife was filming with my new SLR which is supposed to have good video quality. Ah well, back to my old point and shoot digital for video, it works awesome.
Thanks for looking and any feedback is always welcome!

Re: A couple of new(ish) combos
Thanks guys!
It's nice to be in a place in my comfort level where I can work on combos.
Last year (my first year in the hobby) was spent on the basics, learning individual cracks and a few two crack combos.
This past weekend was great as I figured out a few movements that were a mystery to me, and over the summer my ability to link and create has really improved.
Staying relaxed has always been my key to learning, it's really served me well. And all the excellent videos and tips by members here and on YouTube have been awesome.
Now, if I could learn the volley I would be a HAPPY HAPPY MAN.
It's still elusive and is driving me crazy...but, I keep on trying!

If you want to learn to volley, get a stock whip or performance hybrid, something with a long handle, I couldn't volley at all withLukes Roommate wrote:Thanks guys!

my bullwhips, then I used a kind of stock whip, I could volley right away, within 15 minutes I could do 3.5 cracks a second
( timed in 15 second increments )
Then after using this whip for a while, I went back to my bullwhip, I could then volley with it, easily.

Thanks riku!
I was wondering if that might help, might have to try that.
On a related note, wrapped my first human this weekend!
My wife was too chicken, but my friend's wife was game. I successfully wrapped her waist with no fuss or muss!
