Midland Whips 8 foot Roo Hide

Today I had the pleasure and surprise of being able to handle a Midland Whips roo 8 footer. I get together from time to time with my "Indy Brothers" here in Spain and we go out for some whip cracking, especially now that the weather is good. One of my buddies had the 8 foot roo that he had gotten from "the auction site". I must say I was very impressed with it. It has a "Bernie style" thicker thong, but still tapers nicely and goes off like a cannon! I really like the handle on it, it reminds me of those late 80s Morgans. Here is a shot comparing my 10 foot Midland whip in kip side (left) and the roo model (right):

Needless to say my buddy is stoked, this is his first "real" whip. I cant wait for our next whip outing and see how he is getting on and how the whip darkens.

Anyhoo, that's a very nice looking snapper your buddy scored.
Looking at the two side by side, I think I kind of prefer the LC's thicker thong and shorter handle.

Sorry to get your hopes up kwad, but I am waiting on a 10 foot kip side whip. Im sorta secretly hoping for my buddy to fall on hard times or that his better half gets mad at him, so`s I can take that roo off his hands
